Just let Dad take a couple of laps around the neighborhood in the car. He hasn't driven for a long time due to dementia and not being able to get a driver's license. I had been working on the car and was getting the battery all charged, and he felt bad because he removed the charger a touch too early. No harm, no foul. I decided to "let him feel human again", as he put it and we took a couple of laps. This man, who raised me, has worked on cars as long as I can remember. Not having him at my side is the loss of a great asset, but a blessing in knowing what he has taught me. There are blessings in *perspective*, as well; understanding that when a project goes a bit awry, there are greater things to worry about and love to be spread. -I count today as a blessing. Thank you, Lord.
