Vox posted this in his blog recently https://voxday.net/2024/05/16/brave-on-linux/ and I strongly recommend that anyone who is frustrated and annoyed with the new and current laptops and want less intrusion and more freedom follow suit. Thanks to my hubby @EveryPacketMattersBear we've been using updated old laptops with Linux at home for 10 years. Like Vox said it's a lot easier to switch to Linux these days and it works so much better. There is a little bit of a learning curve but it you mostly use your laptop for internet and word or excel there is barely a learning curve. If you have a bunch or programs you need, there'll be more of a learning curve but everything is easily googlable and you have resources like @EveryPacketMattersBear who is an expert at Linux you can ask. If you would like to make this transition and need more help and maybe have an old laptop around and want to know if it can be revived and retrofitted with Linux reach out to @EveryPacketMattersBear . He's been doing that on the side for many people and getting them set up with Linux.
